Dr Poul Rohleder is a clinical psychologist and psychoanalytic psychotherapist. He has over 15 years experience of working in private and public mental health practice. He has a private practice in central London, where he provides individual psychoanalytic psychotherapy and psychological consultation to writers and authors. He also provides online psychotherapy sessions. 

​​He is a board member of the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC), and also a committee member of the BPC Task Group on Sexual and Gender Diversity within Psychoanalysis. He sits on the editorial boards of various academic journals, including the British Journal of Psychotherapy and Psychology and Sexuality. Alongside his clinical and consultancy work, he is an established academic and researcher. He is a senior lecturer at the Department of Psychosocial and Psychoanalytic Studies at the University of Essex, where he is involved in the training of psychodynamic counsellors. He previously worked on the Professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of East London, where he was involved in the training of clinical psychologist. He has also been a guest lecturer on the clinical psychology programmes at UCL and the University of Oxford.
