Dr Poul Rohleder is a clinical psychologist and psychoanalytic psychotherapist. He has over 15 years experience of working in private and public mental health practice. He has a private practice in central London, where he provides individual psychoanalytic psychotherapy. He also provides psychological consultation to writers and authors.
He is a board member of the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC), and also a committee member of the BPC Task Group on Sexual and Gender Diversity within Psychoanalysis. He was awarded the Bernard Ratigan Award for Diversity in Psychoanalysis in 2021. He sits on the editorial board of the British Journal of Psychotherapy. He has worked for many years as an academic and has been involved in the training of clinical psychologists and psychodynamic counsellors. He has taught trainees at the University of Essex, University College London (UCL), the Tavistock, the University of East London, and the University of Oxford. He currently teaches on the Doctorate in Psychodynamic/Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy at the University of Exeter.
