About
I am a chartered clinical psychologist and psychoanalytic psychotherapist. I have 20 years experience of working in private practice and public mental health services. I have a consulting room at the Queen Anne Street Practice in Marylebone, central London, where I provide individual psychodynamic and psychoanalytic psychotherapy. I am also available for psychological consultation to writers and authors.
As well as my clinical work, I am involved in a number of professional activities. Since 2019, I have been a Trustee of the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC), where I am also a committee member of the BPC Task Group on Sexual and Gender Diversity within Psychoanalysis and a committee member of the BPC Scholars Network. I sit on the editorial board of the British Journal of Psychotherapy and the journal Psychology & Sexuality. For many years I worked as an academic and have been involved in the training of clinical psychologists, psychodynamic counsellors and psychotherapists. I have taught trainees at the University of Essex, University College London (UCL), the Tavistock, the University of East London, and the University of Oxford. I currently teach on the Doctorate in Psychodynamic/Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy at the University of Exeter.
