About

I am a chartered clinical psychologist and psychoanalytic psychotherapist. I have 20 years experience of working in private practice and public mental health services. I have a consulting room at the Queen Anne Street Practice in Marylebone, central London, where I provide individual psychodynamic and psychoanalytic psychotherapy. I also offer supervision to psychodynamic practitioners.

As well as my clinical work, I am involved in a number of professional activities. I was a member of the Board of Trustees of the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) from 2019 to 2024. I am a member of the BPC Scholars Network, and a committee member of the BPC Task Group on Sexual and Gender Diversity within Psychoanalysis. I was the recipient of the Bernard Ratigan Award for Diversity in Psychoanalysis in 2021.

I currently sit on the editorial board of the journals Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, and Psychoanalysis, Culture & Society, and have previously been on several other journal editorial boards. For many years I worked as an academic and have been involved in the training of clinical psychologists, psychodynamic counsellors and psychotherapists. I have taught seminars for clinical psychology trainees at the University of East London, University College London (UCL), University of Essex, and the University of Oxford. I have also taught psychodynamic / psychoanalytic psychotherapy trainees at the Tavistock Clinic, The British Psychotherapy Foundation and the University of Exeter.
